Code Garden
Kids learn to code by giving instructions to Sprout, a garden robot that does exactly what it's told. Snap blocks together, press Run, and watch the garden grow.
The map
Follow the path, grow the garden
Each spot in the garden teaches one big coding idea: a short story, a few puzzles, a fix-the-bug challenge and a mini game. Finish it, earn the badge, and the next spot opens.
No typing and no reading-heavy screens: kids code with big picture blocks, and see real Python at the end.
The first spot will be free, so your kid can try Code Garden before you decide anything.
What kids learn
Ten garden spots, one big idea each
- 1
Robot Path Free to try
Sequences. Give step-by-step instructions to reach the sunflower, and learn why order matters.
- 2
Windmill Corner
Direction. Forward, turn left, turn right, from the robot's point of view.
- 3
Bug Pond
Debugging. Run code one step at a time, find the bug and fix it.
- 4
Loop Orchard
Loops. Spot a pattern and repeat it, even a loop inside a loop.
- 5
Veggie Patch
Functions. Teach the robot a new trick once and reuse it.
- 6
Weather Station
If and Else. One program that works in gardens that keep changing.
- 7
Seed Shed
Variables. Read a number, keep it in a box, count with it.
- 8
Greenhouse
Repeat until and sensors. Solve mazes with a real algorithm.
- 9
Harvest Fair
Real code. Read Python, predict what it does and fix it.
- ★
Build Your Own Garden Bonus
Design your own puzzles and program the robot to solve them.
Inside the game
Tools that make learning stick
Backpack
Badges, golden seeds and the gardens your kid designs live here.
Code-ionary
A kid-friendly dictionary of coding words like "loop", "bug" and "variable", with pictures.
Club badges
Each garden spot ends with a badge that also counts in the wider club, across every game.
For parents
What your kid will be able to explain
- What an algorithm is, and why the order of instructions matters
- What a bug is, and how coders find and fix one
- How loops, functions, If/Else and variables make code shorter and smarter
- What real Python code looks like, and read a few lines of it
Safe inside Code Garden
Code Garden never links out to the open web, has no chat, shows no ads and asks kids to type nothing personal. Progress stays on your kid's device, under a nickname.
